Work with files
Create folders, upload and download files, move and copy them, use the trash and share public links.
Open a container to browse it like a file explorer. In Super DriveHexa (File Storage) or Super DriveObject Store, pick the prefix, then click ActionExplore on the container. To create a container first, see Storage.
Find your way around
- Back, Forward and Reload buttons sit at the top left.
- The location list switches between Home (your files) and Trash (deleted items).
- The path box shows where you are. To jump to a folder, type its path, for example
/reports/2026, and press Enter. It goes to a path; it doesn't search. - Click a folder name to open it. Folders are listed first, then files, 50 rows per page by default.
- The filter box filters the rows in the current folder.
- Tick the checkboxes to select items. The checkbox in the header selects or clears all rows on the page.
- Click ✕ in the header to go back to the container list.
Each row has a ⋮ menu. Info shows the item's name, type, path and public link (empty if it isn't published).
Create a folder
- Open the folder where the new folder should go.
- Click New folder.
- Type a Name. You can create several levels at once, for example
reports/2026/q3. - Click Create Folder.
You'll see "Successfully Created" and the folder appears. "Unable to create." means it wasn't created: check the name and try again.
Upload files
- Open the folder the files should go into.
- Click Upload file.
- Drop files on Drop files here or click to upload, or click it to pick files. You can add several.
- To leave a file out, click ✕ next to it. If you added files in more than one go, ✕ can remove the wrong file: close the dialog and add all the files at once instead.
- Click Upload.
Each file shows a progress bar, then Upload complete when it's done. Large files are sent in parts, and each part is retried automatically. The folder refreshes a few seconds after each file finishes, and again when you close the dialog.
If a file with the same name already exists in the folder, the new file is saved under a new name, so nothing is overwritten.
If a file shows Upload failed, or its bar never turns to Upload complete, click Upload again. Files that already show Upload complete aren't sent again, but files still uploading are, so wait until the bars stop moving first.
The dialog doesn't close when you click outside it. Wait until every file shows Upload complete before you click Close.
Download a file
- Click ⋮ on the file.
- Click Download.
A new tab opens and your browser starts the download. Folders can't be downloaded as a whole: download the files one by one.
Rename
- Click ⋮ on the folder or file, then Rename.
- Type the new Name.
- Click Rename Folder or Rename File.
You'll see "Successfully renamed". A file name can't contain /; any / you type becomes _. For a folder, typing a path such as archive/old moves the folder to that path inside the current folder.
Move or copy
- Tick the items you want to move or copy.
- Click Move or Copy. The toolbar now shows Paste and Cancel.
- Go to the destination folder.
- Click Paste.
- Choose what happens if an item with the same name is already there: Skip (the default), Overwrite or Rename.
- Click Move or Copy to finish.
You'll see "Successfully moved" or "Successfully copied". To give up before pasting, click Cancel.
With Overwrite, files already in the destination are replaced by the ones you paste. Use Skip or Rename if you are not sure.
You can't move items into the folder they are already in. Copying into the same folder asks you to confirm first.
If you see "Unable to moved" or "Unable to copied", nothing was changed: try again.
Delete to the trash
Deleted items go to the trash first, so you can restore them.
- Tick the items.
- Click Delete.
- In the Warning! dialog, click Delete.
You'll see "Successfully delete" and the items move to Trash.
Restore from the trash
- Switch the location list to Trash. The Path column shows where each item came from.
- Tick the items.
- Click Restore.
Restore happens right away, with no confirmation. You'll see "Successfully restored" and the items are back in their folders.
Delete forever
Items you delete forever can't be restored. Check the selection before you confirm.
- Switch the location list to Trash.
- Tick the items.
- Click Delete forever.
- In the Warning! dialog, click Delete Forever.
You'll see "Successfully delete" and the items are gone.
In the trash, the row ⋮ menu is empty: use the Restore and Delete forever buttons in the toolbar.
Share a public link
Publishing gives a file or folder a public link that anyone can open, without signing in.
Anyone with the link can open a published item. To limit who can reach it by IP address, attach a traffic profile to the folder.
- Click ⋮ on the file or folder, then Publish.
- For a folder, leave Apply to all sub-folders and files. ticked to publish everything inside it too, or clear it to publish the folder only.
- Click Publish.
You'll see "Successfully Publish". A globe icon appears in the Published column; click it to open the public link in a new tab. You'll also find the link in Info.
Stop sharing
- Click ⋮ on the item, then Unpublish.
- Click Unpublish. The dialog text asks about publishing, but the button unpublishes.
You'll see "Successfully Unpublish" and the link stops working.
Troubleshooting
- The path box is greyed out. You are in Trash. Switch back to Home.
- Move, Copy or Delete is greyed out. Tick at least one item first.
- An uploaded file has a different name. A file with that name was already in the folder, so the new one was renamed.
- "Unable to Publish" or "Unable to Unpublish". Nothing changed. Try again, or ask an administrator to check your role.
