SuperSense AI

Ask questions about your environment in plain words, and let the Machines assistant carry out tasks for you.

SuperSense AI answers questions about your own cloud environment: machines, billing, traffic, keys and more. On the Machines screen, an assistant can also carry out tasks such as stopping a machine or taking a snapshot.

Ask a question

  1. Click the assistant button (the animated brain) in the top bar, or open Enterprise PlatformsSuperSense AI in the sidebar.
  2. Type your question in Ask about your environment…, for example "How many machines are running?" or "Show my latest invoice".
  3. Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac), or click the send button.

The answer appears as it is written, with headings, lists and tables where useful. Enter on its own adds a new line; it doesn't send.

Good to know:

  • Each question is answered on its own: the assistant doesn't remember your earlier questions. Ask complete questions, for example "What did machine web-01 cost this month?" rather than "And last month?".
  • Answers only cover your own account and organisation. For anything else, it replies "I am sorry, I do not have that information."
  • Closing the window stops the answer that is being written.
  • The conversation stays while the page is open. Reloading the page clears it.
  • Wait for one answer to finish before you ask the next. If you send too early, you'll see "Please wait for the current response to finish."
Don't paste secrets

Never type passwords, API keys or other credentials into the chat.

Let the assistant act on machines

On the Machines screen, the assistant can prepare and run tasks for you.

  1. Open Super MachinesMachines and pick a prefix.
  2. Optional: open a machine's details, so you can say "this machine".
  3. Click Ask AI next to the screen title.
  4. Describe what you want, for example "Stop my web-1 machine" or "I need a VM for running a Node.js app with 4GB RAM". The buttons under the title, such as 🚀 Create a VM or ⏹ Stop a machine, fill in a starting sentence for you to complete.
  5. Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac), or click the send button.

The assistant already knows your prefixes, the prefix you picked, and the machine open in the details panel.

Action cards

When the assistant proposes a task, it shows an action card: a title, the details it will use (for example Machine, Snapshot or Disk (GB)), and a button such as Stop machine, Create snapshot, Resize disk, Attach key pair or Terminate machine.

Action cards run as soon as you click them

Clicking the button on an action card is the confirmation. The task starts immediately, with no second dialog, even for Terminate machine, Revert to snapshot and Delete snapshot, which can't be undone. The window's footer mentions confirmation, but the click on the card is the only one.

Before you click, read every detail on the card, especially Machine and Snapshot, and check it is the machine you mean.

After you click, the button shows Working… and then Done. If the task fails, the button changes to Retry and a note explains why, for example that no machine was named. Answer the note or ask again with the machine's name.

Create this VM works differently: it doesn't create anything. It switches to the suggested prefix and opens the Add Machine form, filled in with the assistant's choices. Check the form and click Add yourself. See Create a machine.

The confirm bar

Sometimes the assistant suggests a task without a card. A bar then appears above the input, starting with Ready to: and the task. Click Confirm to run it (the assistant window closes and the task starts), or Cancel to leave it.

Confirm runs the task

Confirm starts the task straight away. Read what the bar says before you click it.

To check what happened, open the machine's Logs tab or see Manage machines.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing happens when I press Enter. Enter adds a new line. Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac).
  • Nothing happens when I send a one-letter message. Type at least two characters.
  • "Unable to reach SuperSense AI. Please try again." or "Unable to reach AI. Please try again." Your session may have expired. Sign in again and retry.
  • "Stream interrupted." or "Could not connect. Check your connection." or "Connection error." The connection dropped. Check your network and ask again.
