API tokens

Create an API token for scripts and automation, view it again, and revoke it.

An API token lets your scripts and tools talk to Superclouds without your password. You create and revoke tokens in Organization SettingsApi Tokens. The list shows each token's Super Id and when it was Created.

Treat a token like a password

Anyone with the token can use it. Keep it in a secret store, never in code you share, and revoke it as soon as you no longer need it.

Create a token

  1. Open Organization SettingsApi Tokens.
  2. Click New Api Token.
  3. Click Submit to confirm.

The table updates with the new token, and the Token window opens with its Super Id and Api Token. Click the token value or Copy to copy it (you'll see Copied to Clipboard), then click Close.

Tokens have no name, so note the Super Id next to where you use the token. That way you know which one to revoke later.

If the Token window doesn't open and no new row appears, the token wasn't created. Click Refresh and try again.

View a token again

  1. Find the token in the list.
  2. Click ActionShow Token.
  3. Copy the value and click Close.

Revoke a token

This can't be undone

Anything that uses the token stops working straight away. Put a new token in place first.

  1. Find the token and click ActionRevoke.
  2. Click Revoke to confirm.

The token disappears from the table. If it's still there, click Refresh: if it remains, your role may not allow revoking it.
